Latin UK Awards 2015 gala to be held in Koko theatre on 13 May

Britain's most popular Latin personalities, musicians, sports people and dancers have been announced by The Latin UK Awards (LUKAS) 2015, after two months public voting and the verdicts of expert judges.

Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Dominican Republic are the leading Latin nations for their cultural contribution to the UK.

London’s theatre scene has surrendered to Argentinian Gerónimo Rauch, who won the LUKAS as “Vocalist of the Year” for his outstanding performance in “The Phantom of the Opera".

Argentina’s Tango has also won a LUKAS with Tango Fire as “Theatre Production of the Year”. Tango Fire is led by the young choreographer and dancer Germán Cornejo.

Venezuelan renowned pianist Clara Rodríguez won the public and judges’ vote as she was awarded the LUKAS as "Classical Act of the Year" for her acclaimed Appassionata Sonata by Candlelight.
