Amaranta is founder of LatinoLife, a Latin media and events company, which produces Latino Life, the UK's leading Latin music and culture magazine and La Clave Fest - London's largest free Latin festival. Born in Buenos Aires, Amaranta came to the UK at the age of six, and grew up in North London. After reading Modern History at Oxford University, she became Latin America correspondent for The Sunday Telegraph, The Scotsman, San Francisco Chronicle and The Toronto Globe & Mail and is also author of the critically-acclaimed book Ripped and Torn. A lifetime Jazz fan, Amaranta hasn bee reviewing Jazz concerts and writing about Jazz since university. She was the Jazz critic for the Buenos Aires Herald whilst in Buenos Aires and during her time as correspondent, wrote about Latin music for papers all over the world.
